VacMaster BS-16 Impulse Bag Sealer

The BS-16 Impulse Bag Sealer is a fully automatic electromagnetic sealer with time temperature controls.  The BS-16 can be operated by hand or foot pedal
and does not require preheating.  Features include a 16-inch impulse seal bar, variable seal time of 0-5 seconds, and an easy to clean design.  For use on a wide variety of films and film thicknesses.

Machine Operation

1. Install Foot Pedal Attach foot pedal connector to the back of the sealing machine. Place the foot pedal on the floor to permit
   both hands to be used in feeding the bag into the sealer.
2. Plug in the Machine
3. Switch Power “ON” The power switch will glow to indicate the machine is ready.
4. Insert Bag Place the open end of the bag into the sealer. Make sure the sealing area of the bag is flat (no wrinkles) and
   there is no debris in the sealing area of the bag. Keep fingers clear of seal bar and top bar. Failure to do so will and can result in injury.
5. Press and Release This activates the electromagnet causing the jaws to the Foot Pedal or close and seal the pouch. NOTE: It is not necessary to
   Start Switch hold down the foot pedal while the bag is sealing.
6. Inspect the Seal The seal should be uniform and clear.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The Model BS-16 has been designed with ease of use and low maintenance in mind.  Follow these few points for years of trouble-free operation.

CLEANING:

• Do not allow the accumulation of foodstuff or debris to remain on the top bar or Teflon tape.
• Unplug the Bag Sealer
• Do not immerse appliance (sealer) or any part of the appliance, power cord or plug in water or other liquids. Use a warm, damp washcloth to keep the
  sealing platform clean.
• Clean stainless steel with soap and warm water or a spray stainless steel cleaner.

MAINTENANCE:

• Periodically inspect the following items for wear or damage
• Seal Bar
• Top pressure pad (Silicone Rubber) on top bar

If any items are damaged, replace them at once. Do not continue to use the bag sealer until the part has been replaced.

The Model BS-16 is an impulse type sealer activated by an electromagnet. The machine can be operated with the supplied foot pedal or manually by pushing the red Seal button. In order to enable the sealing of a wide variety of films and film thickness’, an electronic timer controls the sealer’s temperature-time cycle. The temperature-time control is inside the machine, and may NOT be adjusted unless management approves. No pre-heating is required and the seal bar remains OFF or COOL when the machine is not being cycled. Read and follow carefully all directions for use and maintenance to benefit from years of trouble free and cost effective bag sealing.

Warranty:

VacMaster, as manufacturer of the BS-16, extends to the purchaser of this equipment, a limited 1-year warranty from date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in material, workmanship and operation under conditions of normal use and proper maintenance and includes all components except the items listed as follows: Teflon tape on the sealing bar, seal wire, silicone seal strip in the top bar. This warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether written, oral or implied, including the warranty of merchantability and of fitness for any particular purchase. VacMaster's liability is in all cases limited to the replacement price of it’s product. VacMaster shall not be liable for any other damages, whether consequential, indirect or incidental arising from the sale or use of its products.
